We have some new friends, making life fun again! It is amazing how energized the kids are after being able to get together with other children. The Bairds are from Texas and we met them at church. They are here for 6 weeks. Their girls are 8 and 6 and their boy is 20 months. They have an apartment right on Manly Beach. My kids have had so much more silliness, chasing, wrestling, & laughing this week, than they have in a llllooooonnnngggg time. I'm sure we will be spending some good beach days with them this autumn. 
Yes, it's autumn. I learned that Australia just had the first day of fall. Weird. It has still been warm and humid here, with occasional thunderstorms. We are still in the Medina apartment. We applied for a house that is very close to Matt's work. It seemed perfect, and of course we got our hopes up. But, no. We were rejected. It is so frustrating and so disappointing. We have applied for another house, but haven't heard back. Matt has been travelling all this week, but when he's back, I think we are just going to focus on finding somewhere else to live.

It's good to see the kids having fun, but it makes us miss them more. Matthew loved the picture you posted of Zach when he was little. Well...he's still little, but littler. He also thought Zach was in the water with the Crocodile in that one picture, but I assured him it was only a reflection! :)
Thinking of you lots during the past 3 hours with Heather and the papas at Jack's baseball game. Yes! It lasted over three hours! but t'was a balmy, lazy, spring day- lots of runs and home runs, etc.
We surely want you to find the BEST house for your dear family ASAP and are SO glad the Texans came.
Can't wait to come when things get definite.
